Ami Paris is staying true to its commitment to cinema and emerging talents by continuing as the main partner of Cannes’ La Semaine de la Critique for a second consecutive year. For 65 years, La Semaine de la Critique has supported the early careers of short and feature film directors from around the world with undiminished enthusiasm.

Each new generation writes the history of cinema—the competition has notably launched the careers of Jacques Audiard, François Ozon, Justine Triet, and Rebecca Zlotowski. A parallel section of the Cannes Film Festival dedicated to first and second films, La Semaine de la Critique will be held in Cannes from May 13th to 21st. An international jury will award the Ami Paris Grand Prix to one of the seven films in competition during this 65th edition, following the victory of Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke’s A Useful Ghost in 2025.
